Singclean wins the prestigious Healthcare Asia Medtech Award for Health & Wellness Initiative

From donating face masks to Bangkok hospitals and slums to providing medical necessities to areas hit hard in China, the medical device company leads the fight against COVID-19 through corporate social responsibility.

Hangzhou Singclean Medical Products Co., Ltd. has been named the winner of the Health & Wellness Initiative of the Year - China at the Healthcare Asia Medtech Awards 2023.

Presented by Healthcare Asia, the awards programme honours noteworthy Medtech companies that have risen above the hurdles brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. Recipients are lauded for pushing the innovation of breakthrough products, solutions and initiatives that better serve their customers whilst remaining steadfast during the crisis.

Since its establishment in 2002, Singclean has been committed to being a responsible corporate company. They believe that a successful company should not solely focus on developing safe and effective products, but also take accountability to contribute to society and give back to the community.

As the world continues to grapple with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Singclean has emerged as a leading force in the fight against the virus. Despite the decreasing fatality rate, new variants have made the virus even more contagious, and people are still at risk of severe illness. That's why Singclean has made it its mission to contribute to the public welfare by providing essential medical supplies and services.

In June 2021, the company collaborated with Pola Group, a distributor of Ophthalmic Viscoelastic Devices (OVD) in Thailand, to donate 9,000 face masks to Bangkok hospitals and slums. This donation aimed to provide daily protection for people living in poverty.

To effectively protect the lives and health of the people in Shangyu, an area hit hard in China by COVID-19, Singclean urgently purchased and donated 3,900 surgical caps, 5,000 shoe covers, 104,000 face masks, 5,000 pairs of gloves, 200 sets of protective clothing, and 100 boxes of tangerines in December 2021.

In March 2022, Singclean donated over 800,000 antigen self-tests to the local government to help with the massive screening. As COVID-19 home test kits were in heavy demand in Thailand, Singclean donated 10,000 test kits to help fight the pandemic. Until now, Singclean has worked with Cosmy, the company’s big distributor in Thailand for At-Home Antigen Test Kit, to provide more than 30 million tests to address the shortage of rapid testing.

Singclean and Cosmy’s unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility has been recognised by the Princess Royal of Thailand Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who praised their significant contribution to the fight against COVID-19.

On April 12, over 240,000 antigen test kits were shipped overnight to local communities for early detection, with Singclean staff volunteering to help with the shipping at 2 p.m.

The company's achievement in helping curb the COVID-19 outbreak in Thailand, providing medical necessities to areas hit hard in China by COVID-19, and emergency donation of COVID-19 test kits to local communities has earned them recognition as the winner of the Health & Wellness Initiative of the Year - China at the Healthcare Asia Medtech Awards.

With over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, Singclean's innovative solutions and dedication to corporate social responsibility have been invaluable in the fight against the pandemic, and it’s a testament to its commitment to making a positive impact in the world.
